The AP Spanish Language course is the equivalent to a third year college course in advanced conversation and composition. The primary goal of the course is to bring students to an advanced level of proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing. These skills will not be taught in isolation but rather in an integrative manner. Students will demonstrate proficiency on a frequent basis via all three communicative modes: interpersonal, interpretive and presentational. Additionally, students will learn to synthesize information gleaned from authentic texts, both print and aural, in order to achieve success on the Spanish Language AP Exam. This course is conducted entirely in Spanish and students are expected to use Spanish exclusively with peers and with their teacher during class.
