Bartlett's Weekly Update for January 28, 2019
Good Evening Bartlett Community!
This week at Bartlett will certainly be a busy one!
The report cards were sent home on Friday so you should be receiving them soon if you have not already done so. Please check your mail box and make sure you review your child's grades with them.
Our school council will be meeting this Tuesday in the second floor conference room starting at 3:30. I am very excited for the representatives from the parents who have volunteered to help make our school better. You, as parents and guardians are critical to our success and improvement.
Grade 8 Visit
The students in the Webster Middle School grade 8 will be coming for a visit this coming Friday. Our upperclassmen will be telling them about all the great experiences that await them at Bartlett.
This week at Bartlett is Kindness Week:
Kick into gear and help someone near! Wear different colored socks and shoes!
Score points by helping others: Wear SPORTS ATTIRE
Wear your Bartlett Gear and represent the Green and White as we make It a GREAT Day for BARTLETT PRIDE!!!
Black Empowerment Student Union
These students have planned a month of great activities for our student body. The week kicks off this Friday in the auditorium!
On Monday our attendance committee will be meeting. Did you know that a student who is absent more than 18 times in a school year (Ten Percent) is considered chronically absent? We need your help in getting your children to school on time. Being present for learning is one of the most important steps in learning. You can check out this study on the ill effects of chronic absenteeism or the info-graphic I have inserted below concerning attendance. The research is clear - the long term effects of chronic absenteeism are real and can have a damaging effect on post high school work and education.
