Our mission is to provide a quality education and a safe learning environment for all students and to empower them to succeed as responsible, productive citizens in an ever-changing global society. Specific to the English Learners (EL) Department, WPS strives to provide genuine, equitable access to all aspects of our school system and to assure that our EL students are integrated as members of our learning community.

We believe that every student will achieve and together we can and we will make a difference in our students and community! The EL Department aspires to empower EL students to compete with confidence among all peers in pursuit of the mission and vision of the District
Our students and families represent 18 countries, in addition to Puerto Rico.
