• Stickman Kids Playing Music

    Instructor: Mrs. Howes

Music at Park Avenue Elementary School involves the whole child with activities that enrich their knowledge of the world of music.  Starting with the basic beat we develop as musicians by reading rhythms, singing songs, playing instruments, playing singing games and cooperating together as a band or chorus.

If you would like more information on music in schools, please check out the following article from The National Association for Music Education: https://nafme.org/20-important-benefits-of-music-in-our-schools/

While we are not able to be at school right now we are still able to participate in making and learning about music.  I'll be posting activities for each grade level for each rotation on Class Dojo.  I'll also be posting links to various music sites with videos, games, and activities for students.   I miss each and every one of you and can't wait to get back to our amazing music classroom where we all Sing, Say, Dance and Play (instruments and singing games)!  Stay safe!
