PTO Webpage

The Park Avenue Elementary School PTO is a non-profit organization that consists of parent volunteers and the faculty staff of Park Ave. We are a 3 person board and we meet on a monthly basis. These meetings are open to family, friends, and guardians of any Park Ave Student. Our by-laws are filed with the Superintendent of schools and are written with the intent to have the Park Ave Students best interests at heart. As an organization, our main goal is to help support events or items for the students that are not allocated in the school budget.
All of the PTO financial backing is driven by fundraisers through out the school year. This year, our first fundraiser will begin shortly after the first day of school. On or about September 12th, 2008.  We have contracted with Meadow Farms again. We have done business with Meadow Farms for over 15 years and we are confident you will find their products to be very nice and reasonably priced.
One large piece of the profit received from our fundraisers is given towards field trips. We provide one school field trip per grade level each school calendar year at no cost to the Park Ave families. The PTO has been able to keep this tradition for several years and we are proud to say we are a part of making these field trips possible. The children love them and look forward to them year after year.
Some of our fundraising efforts also provide School folders for the Kindergarteners and First Graders. The Second graders receive school planners to help organize them as they start to prepare for the Middle School.
The PTO has also taken on a huge initiative for the Park Ave Student- A New Playscape. We have been working hard for two years raising funds to provide a new fun and safe place for the children to play. We successfully completed one phase of the play-scape and will shortly be adding an additional phase in April of 2008.  The children love the new play-scape and cannot wait to see the new phases added on.
As you can see, the PTO works hard to ensure the Park Ave students’ elementary years are memorable. It takes a dedicated team to make that happen and we hope you will be a part of that team.
